BIOGRAPHY

 

Ellen's first play, THE SOCIAL SECRETARY, had a staged reading with City of Fairfax Theatre in 2019 and Ellen directed a full production with Sterling Playmakers in 2021 where it was recognized by DC Metro Arts for Outstanding Design Elements. It will have a second production this winter. Her play THE MISFIT PLAYERS had a staged reading with NOVA Night Sky Theater and Ellen directed a production with Goose Creek Players last August. It has an upcoming staged reading at Georgetown (with GG&SS) in September. THE HEIRESS OF HAWTREY HALL had a staged reading hosted by the Ashby Ponds Drama Club and has a full production scheduled for May 2024 with City of Fairfax Theatre. Her newest plays A BACKSTAGE CHRISTMAS and OVER THE ANVIL have had private readings and are awaiting their first productions. She is also collaborating with composer Ryan Carroll for a musical version of THE SOCIAL SECRETARY.

 

Ellen lives in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley with her husband and their rescue dog, Cole. When she's not tapping away at the keyboard, she's performing, directing, volunteering, or hiking wherever her boots carry her.
